I can not front, I was late to the greatness that is Wizkid. He jumped on my radar when he linked up Drake on the chart topping single “One Dance” from 2016. Yet since then, I have not been keeping up his with moves. But I did pay attention back in 2020 when he dropped his fourth studio album “Made In Lagos“. That album spawned his breakout single “Essence“.
“Essence” is Nigerian R&B at its finest. After my initial listen I was hooked and a fan. The song features fellow Nigerian singer Tems which helps add to its greatness. With “Essence” climbing up the international charts, this is the perfect opportunity to go back and give “Made In Lagos” another listen.
