In the world of Popiano (Tyla’s version of Afrobeats, Amapiano) , the singer stands out as a shining star, captivating audiences with her infectious energy and soulful melodies. With the release of her highly anticipated new album, fans eagerly anticipated the next chapter in her musical journey. Now on March 21st, Tyla has finally dropped off her debut self titled album.

Tyla, aka Tyla Laura Seethal, burst out the gate with some fire. She’s got that Grammy buzz, and her single “Water” had us all bobbin’ our heads. Now, with her full length album on streaming services, she’s flexin’ her musical muscles and givin’ us that popiano goodness.

Tyla’s new album sits at 14 tracks and clocks in at 38 minutes. Guest features are minimal, yet the guest that do show up truly lend to the overall greatness of the album. Travis Scott jumped on the Tyla train early by lending his talents to the “Water” (Remix).  Yet it is Tems addition to “No.1” which is without a doubt a stand out cut on the album.

While Afrobeats has already conquered the world, Tyla’s album introduces a fresh wrinkle. She elevates amapiano, bringing it to the forefront of global pop music. With her nimble vocals and bold choices, she cements her status as a pop star to watch.
