T.I. has announced that his upcoming album “Kill The King” will be his last studio. With over 20 years in the game and 11 studio albums to his name, it is safe to say that Clifford Harris has earned the right to bow out of the game on his own terms. As one of the forefathers of Trap Music, T.I. will literally go down as a legend and one of the greatest to ever do it. With no release date as of yet, “Kill The King” is shaping up for T.I. to go out with a bang. His latest single “Active“, finds the King of the south linking up with Kevin Gates to deliver a sinister display of lyricism over some haunting production.
Fresh off a public spat Boosie, which T.I. addresses during the track, Clifford shines brightly over the Javar Rockamore production. Kevin and T.I., both deliver fire in the booth, but it is T.I. who really has the show stealing verse. For almost two minutes straight, T.I. lays out a immaculate display of breath control while spewing defining bars about his reputation and legacy.
What the future holds for T.I., still remains to be seen. Many artists have retired prematurely only to return a short time later. If he does choose to bow out of the game, he had one hell of a career. But as a fan, to the artist formally known as T.I.P, you have a few more years left in you. But if this is your swan song, thank you for the memories and the classics. So sound off in the comments and let me know if “Active” by T.I. featuring Kevin Gates deserves the 🔥 emoji.
