It is finally about time that we give Brent Faiyaz his flowers. Back in 2017, when he first caught my attention with his show stealing chorus on the Goldlink track “Crew“, I instantly became a fan. And every release since has been on my radar. So when news went to circulating that Brent and the king of Toronto, Drake had a collab on the way, my fandom peaked.

Usually a Drake cosign signifies that an artist is destined for next level fame, so hopefully this collab will put Brent rightfully where he belongs with the other hot R&B acts of this generation. Brent’s latest creation is a track titled “Wasting Time” produced by the legendary Neptunes. As of now, I have no clue where this track will end up. Hopefully this is a sign that Brent has a new album on the way. But for now, peep the track below.
