Lets take a trip back to the year 1994 when Da Brat released her debut studio album “Funkdafied”. The album would prove to be a monumental affair due to the fact it would go on to be the first platinum album by a female rapper. With such a major feat at hand, it would only make sense that it spawned some epic songs. Da Brat made a name for herself when she dropped the self titled “Funkdafied” first single from the album. Yet it was the 3rd and final single from the album that really made an impression on me. The track was titled “Give It 2 U“, yet it the remix that became the actual single.
