I can remember it clear as day when my frat brother pulled up in the Crown Vic bumping this new mixtape titled “Trap or Die” by Young Jeezy. Jeezy had not hit my radar yet, so I was apprehensive about giving his latest project a listen. Yet after hearing the DJ Drama tag lines and peeping Jeezy’s infamous ab-libs for the first time, I knew I was witnessing something special. The year was 2005, and 17 years later the artist formally known as Young Jeezy has taken it back to his roots with his latest offering. Jeezy’s newest project is called “SNOFALL” and finds the Atlanta legend linking back up with DJ Drama for another installment of their classic Gangsta Grillz collaboration.

“SNOFALL” is a 17-track affair, which masterfully delivers that classic Jeezy sound. If you were expecting coke talk infused with braggadocious street raps, then this is the album for you. The guests for the project are strategically placed, with EST Gee, 42 Dugg & Lil Durk all turning out to be perfect choices for features. The first single from the album, titled “I Ain’t Gon Hold ya” has gotten the visual treatment and finds both Jeezy and Drama in their element.
Production on this project is handled by the likes of Justice L.E.A.G.U.E., Don Cannon, and Cool & Dre. So, with Jeezy’s lyrics draped across the aforementioned producers, you can expect top tier music. Out of 17 tracks, I can guarantee at least 12 non skippable therefore making this one of Jeezy’s most solid projects to date.
