In case you missed it, R&B singer Jacquees got the chance to sing the National Anthem at the Lakers game on December 3rd. That game marked the return of LeBron James from injury, yet the Lakers still fell to their in state rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers (119-115). But the most talked about aspect of the game was Jacquees and his rendition of the National Anthem. When it comes to singing the National Anthem, it is never an easy feat. Plus compared to the fact that we have had damn near perfect renditions put on display by the great Whitney Houston, and even Teddy Pendergrass, so it is hard to come after that. But Jacquees took on the challenge and did his thing.
Now you know that the internet can be harsh, so Jacquees was not going to be immune. Yet to be clear, he version was actually on point. But it was his spin of the Anthem, that brought the viral moments. And it did not take long for the iMarkkeyz to peep it, chop it up and give us that remix that he is known for.
