Drake & 21 Savage Takes An Oobie Sample And Gives Us The Hood Love Anthem “Spin Bout U.”

When Drake and 21 Savage joined forces on their collaborative album “Her Loss” at the end of last year, the results proved to be fruitful. Both superstars were successful in their own rights, yet “Her Loss” cemented that their chemistry was legit. With opening first week sales of 404,000 copies, the album earned the top spot on the Billboard charts. Yet there was one track that really caught my attention and would eventually go on to become a single. The track I am referring to is “Spin Bout U.”

Sitting at track number 6 on the album, “Spin Bout U” finds Drake and 21 Savage trading verses about how serious their love for a female can be. The “Noah “40” Shebib” and Banbwoi produced track samples an unreleased cut from Oobie titled “Give Me Your Lovin.”

If the name Oobie sounds familiar, it should be because she gave us some unforgettable hits back when she was connected to Lil Jon musically. You all have to remember “Nothins Free” and “One Night Stand?”, without a doubt down south classics.
