The Golden Era… Big Mike

The year was 1994 and repping out of Louisiana, Big Mike would later link with Houston’s Rap-A-Lot records and put out “Somethin’ Serious“. It was his first solo studio album and it would spawn the hit single “Playa Playa“. The track was produced by N.O. Joe, who had worked with Scarface and UGK, just to name a few. For all those who do not know, Big Mike would also go on later to become an official member of the Ghetto Boys. But back to his hit single “Playa Playa“, the track oozed in pimping and has aged like fine wine. If you are a fan of southern, Texas hip hop, then this track is right up your alley.
