Offset has finally released his second solo album “Set It Off“, which is a follow-up to his 2019 debut “Father Of 4“. The album marks a new chapter in his career, as he parted ways with his former label Quality Control Music and signed with Motown Records. The album also pays tribute to his late cousin and Migos member Takeoff, who was killed in 2022.
“Set It Off” features 21 tracks and a star-studded lineup of guest appearances, including Travis Scott, Future, Don Toliver, Cardi B, Latto, and Chlöe. The production is handled by some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Metro Boomin, Boi-1da, Wheezy, Tay Keith, and more. The album showcases Offset’s versatility and skill as a rapper, as he switches from hard-hitting trap bangers to smooth and soulful R&B jams.

The album opens with “On the River“, and sets the tone for the album. Offset reflects on his life, his losses, and his success.
The album then transitions to more upbeat and energetic tracks, such as “Fan“, “Worth It“, “Say My Grace“, and “Hop Out The Van“. These songs showcase Offset’s charisma and confidence, as he raps about his fame, his money, his women, and his enemies. He also delivers some witty and clever wordplay to compliment his rhymes.
The album also features some standout collaborations with other artists. On “Jealousy“, Offset teams up with his wife, Cardi B for a fiery and catchy track that samples Three 6 Mafia’s “Jealous Ass Bitches“. The couple rap about their relationship and their haters, with Cardi dropping some memorable lines. On “Princess Cut“, Offset joins forces with Chlöe Bailey for a sensual and melodic song that is all about “fucking and stroking”. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, as they sing and rap over a smooth beat. On “Fine as Can Be“, Offset links up with Latto for a fun and flirty track that celebrates their attractiveness and success.
“Set It Off” is an album that proves that Offset is more than just a Migos member or Cardi B’s husband. He is a talented and versatile artist who can create different kinds of music and still maintain his identity and voice. The album is a testament to his growth and evolution as a rapper.
