E.Scott jumped on my radar about a year ago and I have literally been waiting on his next body of work. Repping out of the south by way of Sylvania, GA, E.Scott caught my attention when he straight bodied a Lauryn Hill sampled track titled “Screven Me Softly“. The title of the track was a play on words consisting of the song by Lauryn Hill that it sampled “Killing Me Softly” and an ode to the “Screven“, the county that Scott calls home.
With the raw lyricism that that track possessed, I instantly knew that it was plenty more that E.Scott had in his bag. And with his latest release “Born A Suspect“, Scott’s full potential is put on display. Totaling 16 tracks and clocking in at almost an hour run time, the project does not disappoint. Every track is pure flames, yet it is the record “912 Flows” that really establishes E.Scott as one of the elite Mc’s in Georgia. It is new artists like Scott that proves that the genre of hip hop is in good hands because “Born A Suspect” will surely satisfy all hip hop heads. Take a listen to the project below.
